Welcome to Interactive Media Technology! EHOVE offers Interactive Media Technology to its juniors and seniors. In IMT, we spend a lot, if not all, of our time on the computer. We work a lot with Photoshop for most of our assignments that we will put in our student portfolios. Other computer programs that we use in IMT include Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Premiere, and Microsoft Word.
We have a college marketing class on Wednesdays and Fridays. On these days there is usually some book work involved. Most of our tests that we take are also online. Right now, we are focusing on our senior projects, otherwise known as our BPA competitions. These competitions are a main focus in our lab because we get to do what we love an compete with other students around the area.
What is BPA? http://www.bpa.org/information/about BPA stands for Business Professionals of Ohio and focuses on contributing to the preparation of a world-class workforce through the advancement of leadership, citizenship, academic, and technological skills. There are a lot of competitions that we can choose from so there is always something for everyone, from interview skills to web design and video editing.
It gives us the opportunity to make new friends and gain hands-on experience. We are also able to put our work from our competitions into our student portfolio. This portfolio is taken with us when we leave and has examples of everything we have done throughout our two years at EHOVE We have a lot of fun in IMT and everyone gets along really well. We work together a lot with our contests which really helps us in building teamwork skills. Typically everybody is more than willing to pitch in a hand to help finish something up or anything that makes the work load a little easier on everyone else.
