Hey, I’m Kyle Schnieders here in my lab at the best vocational school in Ohio! During this blog it just so happened to be Halloween so Bailey’s costume was a fashion-ista and I was dressed up as Nikki Sixx from Motley Crue haha. Here in Visual Communication Design (VCD) we do a lot of work on the computers using Photoshop, and we also do some photography. Next year, EHOVE is combining VCD with Interactive Media Technology (IMT) and will then be called Visual Media Technology (VMT). So next year there will be more than just Photoshop and Illustrator. IMT does more with web design, animation, and videography. In VCD we do a little more hands-on work; like drawing and sketching but not a lot.
The lab pretty much gives you the job skills and prepares you for a career field in advertising or you can be a photographer. When you graduate, I am confident that you will get everything you need from EHOVE and leave with tons of friends. In the video posted I showed you a project on my computer and that was jus a blurry picture I had of one of my favorite bands and I put a filter on top of it so it looks kind of like it’s painted. I printed my poster off onto the printer you saw just after because it was 24″ x 36″. So that printer is for larger images to be printed off. Also there is another piece of equipment, the heat press and that is for putting images onto t-shirts, mouse pads, coffee mugs, hats, and tote bags and so on and so forth.
I enjoy going to school here a lot, making new friends nearly every day.
