Within the Forensics program at EHOVE, a person can gain many great job skills and learn how to use many different job tools. Being taught in a work-based learning enviroment is a fantastic opportunity. It allows me to feel confident with myself and I have gained many friends along the way.
This particular video is a reenactment of a “shoulder-surfer” in a general store. A person could drop the card or keep the numbers of the card revealed so the “surfer” can claim them and use them for his own items. This is a very common offense in the world today, along with many other types of fraud.
We make videos representing different types of offenses that happen to normal people every day within my class to allow each student to fully understand the situation. This specific video is for our chapter on larceny and our topic was credit card fraud.
At EHOVE, we are given many different hands-on activities. All of our curriculum is college-based learning, which in turn allows us to obtain job skills that can be used within our career field. Homeland Security usually handles these types of offenses, which gives us a different type of work-based learning within the law enforcement career field.
We do many other things within our classroom, including crime scenes, fingerprinting, casting, tool mark impressions, entomology labs, and much more.
I personally believe that EHOVE is the best vocational school in Ohio. I love this class and if you love C.S.I., N.C.I.S., Criminal Minds, or the First 48, this is the program for you. Also, if you wanted to join the military there is plenty of careers within the military field pertaining to Forensics. This is a great career field to venture into, and if you do, you will not regret it.
