Hey! It’s Alyssa, senior in Health Careers 2. I just wanted to show you a little bit of what I learn and do in my lab. Thank you to my friends and classmates who helped me video! They were shy but agreed to do it. I’m glad they stayed professional but were still goofy. :)
It was cool making tons of new friends last year in Health Careers 1 and having them be in my class this year. I’m really glad I chose EHOVECareer Center because I am getting a headstart of everyone and being proactive about my future.
I like being in Health Careers 2 because we do so many hands on activities. Our lab instructor has taught us so much in the past year. We are learning what some adults are learning right now who attend college. Being in Health Careers, you learn skills that you’ll need to know for college. Also you will learn about a wide span of Health Careers like radiology, dentistry, RN, and LPNS. By the end of this year, I plan to get my STNA license so I can have a job to help with college.
Being in Health Careers, you can take the STNA exam and get your STNA license as a junior or a senior. It’s great getting paid above minimum wage and doing a job that is caring for people.
We have Ms. Salkind as our lab teacher. She is a RN and knows so much about the medical feild, its awesome! Just like other EHOVE teachers, she is committed to helping us get ahead to have a better future. Ms. Salkind has done every job you can think of in the medical field. She has lives in many different cities and learned so much. Many of us in Health Careers strive to be like her and to have a great life and career in the health care field. If you love caring for people, want to help in any way, and or just love making a difference, Health Careers is the class for you!
