Hello viewer! Recently in the Green Science Tech lab here at EHOVE, we have gotten a new lab instructor. Her name is Elaine Beekman. She has been with us since December and will be here the rest of the school year. Mrs. Beekman graduated high school from Wellington and college from the OSU.
Beside being our new instructor, she also runs a farm and has many many goats and every one has a name! Mrs. Beekman is excited to be here and to teach us all the skills and training she can for college, workforce or military with our one semester left in this school year. The students are also excited to have her here with us.
She has also become the advisor for EHOVE’s FFA chapter. So far, we have started many projects including fish behavior study, hydroponics system, bike powered Christmas tree, and converting a diesel truck to run on vegetable oil. These projects are being done in groups.
The fish project is by Jon Ellis, whose partner school is Edison, and myself. Hydroponics is our juniors, bike is Jobe Cox, whose partner school is Norwalk, with the help of Jon, James Patterson, and Micheal Lott. The truck project is Luke Henderson, whose partner school is Vermilion, Micheal Lott from New London, and James Patterson from South Central. So keep watching, because there are some cool blogs coming up and pictures of the projects once they get in full swing!
