There are many Leadership Opportunities at EHOVE Career Center! Being an ambassador at EHOVE is really good opportunity. It gives you the chance to do things like the school announcements, being a student blogger, and being in a lot of the EHOVE advertisements.
Ambassadors are the students that get to do things like go to all the partner schools and talk about EHOVE. They also get to talk at assemblies and welcome new students on their first day! Another leadership opportunity is being in the teen leadership core class that EHOVE now has, in this class we do a lot of community service work and do a lot of planning for interviews and for our future (if you want to know more watch my last blog). Which is a good class to have on your college applications and on resumes.
When you come to EHOVE, you get put into an organization! Early Childhood and Culinary are a part of Family Career and Community Leaders of America or FCCLA! FCCLA is where we do competitions and community service but we also do fun things!
Our FCCLA chapter this year has helped with a lot of activities like the toy drive that the Teen Leadership Core out on and went and helped with Big Brother and Big Sister Christmas party. EHOVE also offers Student Council where each lab gets to choose two people to attend the meetings and then come back and explain to the class what’s going on.
They have meetings all through the year and they talk about things like raising money, planning field day, and planning prom. That is only some of the leadership opportunities that Early Childhood students are in. EHOVE has a bunch more to offer. So just because you may choose to come to EHOVE, doesn’t mean you can’t still be in the organizations and clubs your partner school has to offer!
