SkillsUSA is a student youth organization that hosts hundreds of competitions for those at tech schools, such as EHOVE Career Center. It is super fun, and you get to use your lab skills to compete against other schools.
This year, my Tech Prep Showcase team took first in the Public Safety category at the state competition held in Columbus, Ohio. We will be advancing to nationals in June to compete in Kansas City!
I encourage all of you to become involved in SkillsUSA because it allows you to learn great leadership skills, gain new friends, and become involved in school activities. It also allows you to get a head start on your career, and you will become much more confident.
I have gained numerous business connections through SkillsUSA alone. I sure am going to miss these competitions after this year, but I hope you all will carry on the legacy of EHOVE being Number 1!
