Changing Career Fields

Hi my name is Keri’ellen I’m the 2014 health careers blogger. I just wanna share that just because you are going into a lab doesn’t mean you have to stay in that career field. I went into Health Careers after not getting accepted into Cosmetology, which was my passion. At first I loved it I was so glad that I ended up going into Health Careers. I loved thinking that I can help someone feel better. So I went through all the training last year and thought I still loved it.

I work all summer at an STNA at a nursing home, also loved it. Until the last month and a half or so. I took care of people in there last stages of life and it made me really upset. I had a resident fall when I was transferring and she tore up her arm. That was the last straw that made me realize how much I wanted to do cosmetology. So at the beginning of the year I was looking at cosmetology schools, I found Paul Mitchell the School in Cincinnati. I applied and went and had a tour and interview with some of the teachers. I fell in love. I just wanna let you guys know that EHOVE career center will help you decide what you wanna do in the future.  The EHOVE staff can help a lot, if you talk to your guidance counselor they can help you find the right school or program for you! You may not like the career choice you choose to study at EHOVE career center, but just know its never to late to change your mind! I hope you all have a great day thanks for taking your time out to check out my blog!
