Recently, Chef Edwards, the instructor for Culinary Arts at EHOVE Career Center, did a great deed out of kindness and respect of his heart for a former student, Nate. Fundraiser info available at: www.ehove.net/news/4/314/
He came to the salon and had his head shaved by Cosmetology student Alyssa Gonzalas from Bellevue High School! Why, you ask?
On August 30, Chef’s student from 2005 was diagnosed with Leukemia, something that’s played a rough role in Chefs life. When Chef E. was in high school his cousin was also diagnosed with Leukemia and passed away from the illness. Later, his mother was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and had faced chemotheropy twice and survived.
Going through and seeing this, he noticed that they lost their hair, which can be really tough for an individual to go through on top of theropy and the illness. In the video you will notice that Chef Edwards goes from having beautiful curly locks of hair to having it all cut off to show awareness and for the fundraisers.
Everything goes to the family to help with the costs, please show your support! Not only would the family love it, or even Nate, but showing that EHOVE Career Center still shows love and support for all its students even ones from the past, will put a big smile on everyone’s face at EHOVE, ESPECIALLY CHEF EDWARDS !
Thanks again everybody, and don’t forget to show your support whether you’re sharing this video, attending the fundrasiers, or even SHAVING YOUR HEAD !
