Hey everyone. For my senior year, I’ve been in the class Teen Leadership. It’s a group of students at EHOVE that work together to help others. In the class we’ve collected items for Toys for Tots, a Toiletries Drive, and the Boys and Girls club. In my class there is Criminal Justice, Firefighter/EMT, Early Childhood Education, Health Tech, and Health Careers. We all come from different career paths, but we’re still able to work together and help a community.
In Teen Leadership, we just went over a unit called THE CAUSE. It’s a unit on bullying and how children, teens, and adults have been affected by it. As a group we traveled to Pleasant Elementary School to talk to third graders about the SAFE program. We were trying to get a jumpstart and teach the children why bullying isn’t something to do and what to do when they are bullied. We split into groups and did some hands-on activities with the third graders that dealt with bullying and what to do in those situations.
We had a lot of fun working together and teaching the SAFE program to the third graders.
